Using Metaphors

As a final exercise the workshop participants were taught to use metaphors as creative tools and ways of getting inspiration. The learners were asked to draw pictures that represent themselves and their current state of affairs and discuss these with other learners in their groups. The exercise was brief but it gave the learners a chance to share their personal experiences with others.

Visual metaphors can be extremely powerful tools as we tend to respond more strongly to visual images than anything else. They stick in our minds better and form stronger emotional reactions than mere words.
